Regular dental care prevents accumulation of harmful debris, plaque and tartar. It also inhibits the onset of periodontal disease, which can lead to premature tooth loss, and may also affect other body organs and systems. That’s why it is important to make regular preventive care reservations.
The following are some of what you may expect during your visit:
- An inspection of the entire oral region
- Listening to your wants and concerns
- Identification of any signs of periodontal disease
- Detection of tooth decay, and treatment recommendations
A dental examination in our office takes around 45 minutes, and may include prophylaxis (teeth cleaning) to remove plaque and tartar, along with tooth polishing. Our hygienists are also excellent educators, and are happy to spend as much time as you’d like discussing any oral health related matter with you.
