My profession means service, to both my team and my patients. I’ve learned that to have a successful practice, both my patients and my team need to win. The patients win by learning how they can achieve health and maintain it for a lifetime. My team wins by inhabiting a great working environment where they are appreciated and respected.
I feel honored that my patients open up and share their stories with me, trusting me to provide the most appropriate and highest-quality care. Everyone has a story to tell, and each provides a unique perspective on life. My patients have opened my eyes to different ways of life and ultimately, I am a better person because of the relationships I’ve made.
Because the field of dentistry is constantly changing, I understand the importance of keeping up-to-date on the most effective and efficient treatment options. I participate in a variety of continuing education courses on an ongoing basis. I focus on those areas that allow me to provide the highest level of care to patients by learning the latest procedures and techniques to minimize pain and maximize longevity of restorations. This empowers my patients to lead healthier lives.
My team is exceptional in their professionalism, care, and respect for patients and each other. They promote the highest standards of care and are true advocates for each patient’s health. Their primary focus is on partnering with a patient to help him or her achieve and maintain health. My team takes time to get to know each person so that we may best understand their individual needs. Without the wonderful people I work with every day, I wouldn’t be able to be the dentist my patients deserve.
A native of nearby Ravenna, Michigan, I currently reside in Coopersville. My family means the world to me, so spending much of my free time with them is a priority. When I get the opportunity, I enjoy playing computer games, reading, pursuing outdoor activities with friends, and walking along the trails around our home with the dogs.
Being active in the community is hugely important in order to educate people about what it takes to have a healthy mouth. I believe passionately that people in my community and across the country should receive information regarding what a healthy mouth is and that the health of the mouth is connected to the health of the body. I want to make an impact on the community by helping people obtain and maintain a healthy mouth and overall health for a lifetime. To achieve this, I volunteer with Miles of Smiles, a county-wide program that provides free dental care to children in need. Our practice also donates time and funding to several worthy community charities and organizations.
